Biography

Thomas is a former DOD intelligence analyst, angel investor, conservationist, and serial entrepreneur who has founded, funded and exited several successful global ventures which include: media properties (CGI, Inc.’s global broadcast syndication network encompassing over 60 countries acquired by Polygram), financial services (Geneva Risk Services, LLC acquired by McAuley Woods & Associates 2008), In 2009, at Twittad.com, he created in partnership with the Wunderman Agency and Land Rover, the first national advertising campaign to be syndicated on the Twitter open API platform.  Additionally, Mr. Buchar was Chairman of Yezzi! a global disruptive money transfer gateway. In 2014 Yezzi! was acquired by Cuallix Consumer Services of Monterrey Mexico where he advised as their VP of Global Strategy. Mr. Buchar began angel investing in 1997 focusing on FinTech, AdTech, HealthTech, Digital Publishing, and advising clients on M & A and strategic initiatives.

 

Most recently, Mr. Buchar is the Co-Founder of Global Accelerated Ventures and a Co-Founder of Innovation Florida which created the first Full Stack Developer Curriculum for High School Students in Florida.  He is Founder and Chairman of Nembeza Wildlife Foundation, a USA registered 501(c) 3 whose primary mission is to Preserve, Protect, and Proliferate endangered species globally. On his “bizcations” you can find Thomas in the bushveld of South Africa or Botswana tracking poachers, rescuing orphaned rhino, and supporting breeding projects.
