Biography
David Spanton is the founder/CEO of Blackhawk Lending. Prior to Blackhawk Lending, he was the founder of ONV Strategies, a consulting company that provides expertise in strategic communication, government affairs, and operations processes.
David previously served in the 14 years on active duty in the United States Army as a Blackhawk helicopter pilot, acquisition officer, and congressional liaison. He is a veteran of both Iraq and Afghanistan and is still serving as a Lieutenant Colonel in the Texas National Guard.
He received his undergraduate degree in Public Relations from Southern Illinois University and his graduate degree in Legislative Affairs from George Washington University.
David and his wife, Jessica, the Director of R&D at Amplify Snack Brands, and their two children live in Austin, Texas.
